I just got a new print scanner and was going through prints from 1990. I found a WC/Oxford leasing SD40 3046 that's not normal This seems to be popular loco on this board. Roger

It's cool that it has retained it's unit number all these years since UP. At least W&LE still has it too.

It's amazing that as other roads are cutting up 40's and 40-2's, this thing is still floating around lugging coal and ore on W&LE!

I guess they don't build them like they use to. I'm getting old, I can remember railfanning and being sick of GP7s and 9s. We would joke about what would happen to the SD40s and dash 2s in 30 years, I guess I know its the GP7 of the 2010 era.
