Thought I'd post a few pics of something besides locos. Locos are great, but I really like the stuff that typically follows behind them just aas much. A CaboosesNW resin cab I built for a friend on the MILWmodelers yahoo group. Here is a ACF2700 which only the DTSL and Chessie owned. This was kitbashed from an IMRC kit. According to Eric Neubauer's Center Flow monograph, the CF2700 is the same height and length as the CF2980, meaning the IM CF2980 would be the best starting point since it is also the same frame length. Accurail 4600 is same height as these at 15-1, so could be used also to create the 4460 and 4700. The 4650 is 15-6, and a 2791 is 14-9. The real work to make the car is shortening and reshaping the ends of the carbody (32-1 IL vs 34-9) and replacing the slope sheets and end sheets. The CF2700 slope sheets are set at 50 degrees rather than 45, hence the shorter carbody. Plus changing the gates, to Gravity-Pnuematic gates. Regards, Brian

Very nice work! I really like the weathering and over all appearance of that C&O 50' box! Great work once again! David

The Canstock car is excellent. I found a picture of one on the net a few weeks ago, and was wondering if they're still rolling around. Neat stuff.
