Hi Tech makes some great SD-39 hood sides that when combined with Cannon & Co parts makes a great looking unit. You can use any SD-40 or SD-38 as a starter.

Just FYI, the Hi-Tech sides can also be used to model a GP39. I plan to eventually use them to kitbash a CSX GP39 from an Atlas GP38. I've always wanted to build one of those unique CSX units that aren't available in model form but are a relatively easy kitbash with these hood sides.

C&O's GP39's were just as cool as the SD's. Make sure you save the clean air room sections of the SD39 sides. They can be used for an SD40A kitbash. You just use a Cannon SD40 inertial filter screen instead of the smaller GP/SD35/39 style screen.

Hi all. Also look up highball graphics site for more info on buying these High Tech kits mgdecals.com There is a photo of the SD39 hood sides kit on their site. I might have to buy 1 for an upcoming SP SD39 project soon. Thanks. Pete
