Well. Some Days, I am looking at my work desk and it look like the MLW shop floor in the mid 50's. For sure, with all the MLW project going, My GMD unit will not be the king of the house for long. If I can built 1, I can built 2 or whole fleet for yard operation. In this project, I will again using a custom frame I made form brass strip. The S-13 is mounted so high on the frame so you have no choice to put it in evidence with details. I am going to use Athearn trucks and Atlas motor to replace the 6cyl 251. Wild argo I already done 2 other S13 8705 and 8507 and at this time the unit will be: Hump unit 110 and 111 yard unit 306 switcher unit 8612 S13u 8703 and some S-3 slug

Great Work Eric! What did you use for the handrail stanchions? The handrail stanchions are included in the kit from Kaslo. MLW unit have an L shape type stanchions not seen on other builder. Éric

I was going to build 8512, one of the beasties that shunted coaches around Spadina, and maybe (nudge nudge Eric) mate it to an S3 slug to help it work the yard. I know, I know, an 8500 was NEVER mated with a slug, but who cares...

My got ballasted to 8.6oz vs Proto SW 7.5oz.

Those look great. Do you have any measurements for the brass frame? I have a Point 1 models one that I am working on now. I would like to upgrade the drive train for it.

Nice Eric! I too, would like some frame dimensions as I've got a Point One S13 I'd like to finish (and an RS-23 too) but need to replace the original frame. Funny thing is I did have the motor that came with the RS-23 kit, but I can't find it -Trevor

Invaluable pics Eric!
If you build a model of 8708 it'll live on forever!

Hey Eric, are you modelling any units with the GP9 rad cores? (illustrated by the bulges in the side of the carbody)

See the bulge in the pic... CN changed the rads to more standard GP9 cores when they rebuilt them...

Seeing all these pictures has forced me to move my S-13 from mid stash to the on-deck circle.
