Oh yes, you read right! I dissappear for a few months, and look what happens? So far, i've got the basic paint on it. I'm not to concerened about rough edges, since most will be coved by decal stripes. I might still work on smoothing out the pain job a little, but we'll see. I already painted some of the details and added pantographs. Detailing this locomotive should be easy because there is little to it. Its the decals that will kill! This shell is the one of Island Model Work's ALP46s. In fact, it was the only one in existence other than the display model and master when i bought it. I assume this means they will be coming out with the ALP46, even though the last time i checked, it was listed only as a maybe. Hopefully, they will make a frame for it like the are their PL42AC models. If not, there is always the fleischmann model that i can steal for a drive. This is one of three NJ transit models i'm working on, including the: PL42AC dieseldetailer.proboards53.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=x&thread=736&page=1and a set of Arrow III EMUs dieseldetailer.proboards53.com/index.cgi?board=ot&action=display&thread=735

I've repainted and begun decaling this beauty. The white stripes will give you a heart attack, but otherise, the ALP46 looks really good using the available decals. I'll post pictures soon.
i'm still waiting for a frame that works, but i'm sure i'll find one.

pictures of the ALP46 so far. Yes, i've noticed the crooked number and NJ transit logo, i've already fixed it. I always seem to bump these things, i hate decaling!
