The company that made the nose sets was Cascade and Pacific shops. ( Ray Wheeler ) I have three sets all bought off ebay, where they appear infrequently. I am going to use a GP 20 frame, GP -18 cab and sub base, and a GP -7 long hood. Even then there will be some shaving off of louvers. As was previously stated they were all built at West Burlington in a program called CLRP. The program was re building GP-7's and NW 2's. A recession stopped it, and only three units were completed in a re start. Unlike the previous 12 or 13 that had Horst air filters, the last three came with the sealed Farr filter boxes, as the Horst types clogged with snow in the winter, and BN is a winter railroad. This means you can model two distinct types, but as the fleet aged, many changes were may to air filters, beacons, strobe lights, ditch lights, and of course paint schemes. I've been hounding for a few of those myself. Their website says that the masters are in rough shape and they are having difficulty making molds. It gets more fun because Atlas SD26 cabs are unavailable. I've taken atlas SD24 cabs and DPH insert and combined them. THe nose is fairly straight-foward, but the step wells will be a trick. I really wish Cannon would get into the early GP and SD game with noses and cabs.

hey guys, sorry i haven't done any work to this or any loco in the last couple of weeks. i'm working on my home layout. we painted the entire apt. here and my room for the layout was last. now i'm doing a purge of that kind of junk that just collects in closets ect. the benchwork is shelf bracket style shelf with 2 peninsulas. it was almost done, then i realized my bookcases i want underneath stick out farther than the mere 8" i originally speced. -duh, something was telling me all along that was wrong... it won't take long at this point to redo the 3 frames i did though. ; ) i changed the layout up just a bit to get in bring in a couple more industries which appear on youtube being switched, one of which i only saw videos of this week is general mills. (smaller peninsula) i'm so thankful those guys decided to go out and shoot those videos! general mills is a pretty iconic industry for this area anyway, so it's going in. i also added fruitland yard next to the team track. (larger peninsula) in previous versions of the layout i didn't have room for it, i actually forgot to recheck on that once i had moved it. This is pretty much it save for maybe adjustments during construction:
