Ok I had to look this up, so for anyone that get confused about Dash types, here is a list I found, The Dash 2 line were highly successful. The models offered included the following:
F40PH-2 GP38-2 GP38-2W GP39-2 GP40-2 GP40-2L(W) GP40-2W GP40P-2 SD38-2 SD40-2 SD40-2F SD40-2W SD40T-2 SD40-2S SD45-2 SD45T-2

One of my SD40-2s I;ve been trying to finnish for years but always seems to get holted do to moving, but it's getting closer

Testing this image, I resized it and photobucket is being a pain and not showing it after click the thumb to view it larger.. how it's good to go. Geep that is nearly finnished, some touch up here and there and finnish off the weathering and it;s good to go :-)

I hope this doesn't stretch the theme specs too far: the engine was built in 1975 but didn't go north until 1992, but it does not have ditch lights.

If it is okay..........I thought I would throw out another offering to the theme gods...........a kitbashed Santa Fe SDF40-2. This was done with 2 Athearn BB FP45 shells, a F40PH radiator section, GP40 front steps, SD40T-2 rear steps, and A LOT(!!!!!) of putty and detail parts on an Athearn BB FP45 frame. For comparison, I have the 5266 which is a Kaslo shell on an Athearn RTR SD60 frame. Rick

Rick, those are pretty cool. The notched noses (and steps) look like a big challenge for a non Santa Fe guy. Good work.
