Here are some shots of her after I painted her with PollyScale "Reefer White" #414113 and masked off the white in preparation for painting the red. Dan

Here she is after painting the red and with the masking removed. For the red I used PollyScale "Soo Line Red" #414212. My next step will be to mask off for the black (pilot faces and top of nose). Dan

Very nice Dan! Are you going to paint the walkways black also? Randy, Yes, but I'll be brush painting them. I find it easier (for me at least) to do them that way, then masking and air-brushing. Dan

It *almost* looks a tad CPR-ish... I was thinking that it looks almost exactly like a Frisco unit. Christian

Sharp looking unit Dan. Do you have decals for it? Stephen, The only decals that I have to make are the letters & numbers. But that should not be too difficult. I'm going to try and make them on my computer and print them out with a ink-jet printer. We'll see how that goes. Dan

Finished with the decals and installed the handrails. For the letters and numbers I used the SuperCal decal system. www.supercaldecals.comNow is time to start weathering this loco. Dan

Did you do the numberboards also with the same decal product? Also what type of printer and lettering program did you use for this? Absolutely incredible job!!!!

Did you do the numberboards also with the same decal product? Also what type of printer and lettering program did you use for this? Absolutely incredible job!!!! The number boards were done with Shell Scale Decals, set #105. www.shellscale.com/index.htmlThe stripes are from MicroScale, 2" black from set #91112 (a.k.a. 87-124-2). The DRLX lettering on the body and nose along with the numbers on the cab side were done with MS Word, in the font ZapfEllipt BT (in bold). And then printed on my ink-jet printer, a HP deskjet D2545, I set the print quality to the highest setting. Dan
