Glenn, I think that due to the fact that everyone knows that you can take it even better than you dish it out makes you a more than worthy target! Oh, about the photo shopping job, I had to shrink you to get you to fit in the frame of the pic so I thought it was only fair that I narrow you as well. So I figure you owe me a cold Pepsi the next time you see me for being so nice to you and making you look so slim. Sorry about the left arm..... at least you've still got your right arm to hold up that sweet lookin' foam finger! And I hope you noticed that I got rid of that nasty, vile bird on your hat and replaced with something much better! You never can tell what I'll pull out of my bag o' tricks!

You know, I'm not much for the older power you took shots of, but I took one look at that Dash 8 out running and had to change my background. That is NICE. Those pan shots are hard to catch, but are amazing when you get them. Kudos to you for a job well done!

Greg, I had just paul only come over as it is easier to handle on school nights. I will get a group of you over soon. You will be impressed with what i have done since last time you were over. There are perks to being laid off...you get to spend more time with family and working on the railroad. Kevin it is alright to tell Sammy that you are using the BN shot as your screen saver he will understand. ;D Glenn

Hey Kevin, Thanks for the compliments and I'm glad you enjoyed the pics! Next time, I'll take a few more pacing pics of some newer (for the ATSF anyway) power like a GP60M, 840CW, and SD75M. Oh, and never mind that Hoover guy since he seems to think you like the pic of that ratty lookin' green fire breathing stink pickle. He also has trouble remembering locomotive model designations - he still thinks a "Dash Two" is when he's gotta run to the rest room after eating too many chili dogs! Glenn, tell Paul I'm sorry for almost making him have an accident.

You guys are nuts. I was out railfanning about 20 years ago on the former NYC Lakeshore Line watching Conrail. I had my video camera and my SLR with me. The battery on the video camera went dead. I did get some good shots. The last train of the day went by with 2 Conrail units and one BN unit. I noticed a flame coming from the stack of the BN. As the units went by I brought my trusty Minolta SRT up for one last shot. BOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!!!!!!! Crankcase Explosion!!!! Before I could snap the pic I got scared and fell on my ass!!! My son-in-law asked, "did you get that?"....."where did you go?".........."Randy, you can't take pictures from down there!"

Randy I am glad you are enjoying all of this crazyness. Truth be told we are all good friends and enjoy ribbing each other. They all know the BN will always be the superior railroad. ;D That also was a great story you told. Glenn

Hey Randy, That is a good story! I've only seen stack flames about 3 times while out railfanning - and twice they were coming from BN locomotives - an LMX and a C30-7. The 3rd time was from a Conrail unit. And none of which I got good pics of. And thanks for letting us pick on each other, most other folks may have told us to simmer down (or even worse) for our orneriness and shenanigans! And I'm sure you've figured out by now that Mr. Hoover is touched in the head..... Anyway here are a few more pacing pics I snapped this past weekend. Does it get much better than this? A pair of hotrod GP60M's speeding the Q NYLA train west at Lone Star Junction. Here's 808 marching east near Melrose, NM with a mixed freight. A nearly new ATSF 212 rolls east with a stack train. And here's a SF30C leading a hopper train through Hereford.

Ok I'll have to chime in here seeing as I'm a BN fan..... I remember as a kid, the BN use to fly through Thomson IL... As for the Santa Flush. .. It would seen that the merger of the two has it downsides, I don;t recall seeing a BN units sitting around with burn marks So I would guess this was a repaint of a SF unit ay? lol

Okay Glenn - you've now made it official - you have lost your ever lovin' mind! Although peas are green, I sure ain't. Since baseball season has fire up, within a few short weeks I hope to be a golden tan color, much like a chicken fried steak! ;D Vince, you are right - it is sort of a Jayhawker thing. Although they've got some pretty good railroadin' up there, most of us Sooners in Oklahoma tend to feel sorry for some of our Jayhawker pals that reside just to the north of us! Especially the ones who are fans of sport teams with vile birds as mascots! ;D

Sorry Vince,I don't where I got Larry from. You will have to forgive Sammy; he has red stuck on his brain. First the Santa Flush and now the Sooners??? never heard of them must be a div.2 team. I know that don't have a basketball team in the same class as our #1 JAYHAWKS soon to be the National Champions!!! At least Sammy and I agree on NFL football and MLB baseball. Isn't tomorrow the BN holiday where everybody comes out of the closet and wears BN green all day long in rememberance of the beloved BN RR. That is what I thought. Hoover out
