I hate to say it, but, I bet he goes all GE Nah, some SD70ACe's will probably be on the roster. You must remember that he bases the UB off of real life railroads. He based the arrangement for the UB's AC4400CW's on the one that was made with KCS. So, assuming that he continues copying KCS, we'll be seeing SD70ACe's and ES44AC's joining the UB's stable. From what I can make out, he's sold off some early SD40-2's and older freight cars. Going by that logic, I'm assuming his roster will look something like this: SD40-2 GP38-2 MP15DC GP50 SD50 GP60 SD60M SD70M AC4400CW SD70ACe ES44AC Gensets(?) I've always liked the Utah Belt, primarily because its based off of the Espee and Cotton Belt. I even read an article where he said that the UB was originally supposed to be a layout of the SP in Tehachapi, but space restrictions forced him to compress it down to a point where he decided it would be best to create a proto-freelanced railroad. That would explain the Lark Dark Grey and the Light Packages. ;D

I recall in an article along time ago that Eric was a school teacher and on a fixed income so most of his engines where kit bashed back then. So to keep getting new engines I bet he uses the money from the sales of his older equipment to buy more modern stuff. Have you seen how much money he gets for his stuff? I also heard he tends to keep his roster as up to date as possible so if a locomotive is not needed, then he sells just like a real RR Would.

That looks great! Lease power for the KP or is there a patch job in its future?

Thanks, it is close, just a little more weathering and a few touch ups and then glass and wipers and it's done.

Anthony, Looks really nice. When I was at the St. Louis meet, I went to visit the Utah belt on Friday night. That unit would look good running on it.
So when are we going to see a Kansas Pacific S50?

Thanks Robert and Brian, I am jealous Brian I would love to visit his layout one day. I need to get the date for next years meet so I can book my vacation at work so I can attend the RPM meet. Maybe I can talk Scott into letting me drive with him up there.
I hope soon on the KP stuff. Work has been killing me will all the reroutes right now. I plan on doing one of the SD50's I got from you into a KP and a UB in the other.

It would be GREAT if you can make it next year. It would be cool if you had the KP and UB SD50's done. Maybe Eric will have an open house next year. I can bring my two CSR units, you bring your units and maybe Eric would allow us to do a photo shoot with run through power on the Utah Belt layout.

No, he is still on analog. That is why we would have to do still shots.

Anthony, That really looks great. I just noticed it had an SD50 rad section. Makes that locomotive look really big.
So when are we going to see some Kansas Pacific stuff? Your building all these other roads, but have yet to see a KP unit.
