This build has made me want to use the GP30 shell I have into one of these and I don't even model CSX

Not only do they look good, but those models have given me a new appreciation of CSX's 'Dark-Future' scheme.

Those look great! but is the yellow on the nose supposed to go over the top where the sand filler is?

No. The problem is, i did not found prototype pictures with a top view, so i suggested its like that. When the paint was done, i found a picture... But i can live with that.... Am i a bad modeler now?

You are no different than the rest of us. I can't count how many times I have completed a model based on photos and information that answer MOST questions, only to find the missing information after the model is complete and discover my assumptions were wrong. Just keep repeating "model railroading is fun, model railroading is fun..."

Guys, i´m almost done. I could have finished both engines, but had some kind of setback yesterday. When i disassembled the GP40-2 long time ago i damaged the cab. Since i had to order some parts at Atlas, i also ordered a new cab. Yesterday, when i tried to assemble the model it came out that i ordered a GP40 cab instead of a GP40-2 one. The cab itself fits the model, but neither the windows nor the numberboards/lightbar fit. Damn, i had to order the latter parts again from Atlas. BUT, today i finished the GP30. It was a bit tricky to lay the ditch light cables, but now all is complete and the lighst still work:
