OK, I have another one for the experts! What do you use to attach etched parts like grilles and fan covers? As a noob in detailing I've had several opinions, but mostly from guts that are more into structures and scenery. Most say ACC, but can it get brittle (I've built a few resin car kits that have had issues)? I've also had canopy cement and barge cement mentioned, but I haven't used either very much.

I use CA. Never had one break out yet due to normal use.

FWIW, I use Barge Cement, thinned 50/50 with MEK. I put the Barge on the PE, place it where I want it, then flow a small amount of MEK at the joint with a needle applicator. The MEK welds the Barge-coated PE and plastic together. A couple of my pieces were done this way 20+ years ago and have not failed yet.

Thank this method helps me as I was getting ready to mix a batch but now I know how y'all use barge. Later Tater now where's Tot.

I've used pliobond or canopy glue, no issues with either, I've never tried the barge cement. Dale
