I’ve ran out of my pollyscale stash of paints. My local hobby shop has every color of the model flex paint you can imagine. I use the Badger Stylrenz primer for all my models. What’s everyone’s experience with the Model Flex paints?

I've been using Model Flex and Vallejo since I ran out of Pollyscale. I like both. Even though the Model Flex says it is airbrush ready, I add a touch of thinner to prevent tip dry on the airbrush. With the MRH Acrylic Paint guide it is super easy to match the old Polly Scale color names. The only complaint I had about Model Flex is that it didn't come in a dropper bottle like the Vallejo stuff. Supposedly the new stuff is in dropper bottles, but I haven't had a need to order new paint to verify.

It supposedly drys to a semi gloss, but I haven't tried applying decals on top to see if it is enough to remove the decal lines. Lately I've been using Future to set my decals. Wet decal like normal, place decal and then a drop of Future over the top. Future is self leveling and seals the decal in as it dries.

William, If you haven't downloaded the latest version of MRH acrylic paint guide you should. Good for paint matching and the thinner recipes are super awesome. I,make thinner by the gallon now.
