Working on a couple of PC GP9's, Ph. IIa 7079 and Ph. IIb 7144. Both are being built from Proto Ph.II GP9's which are actually PhIIa's. Swapped the walkway/pilot assembly on the 7144 with one taken from a P2K PhIII GP9 to make it a PhIIb. Both units have extensively modified P2K frames with scratchbuilt fuel tanks, Kato motors and trucks (with Athearn Blombergs and DW Bannadaptors) scavenged from a couple of old Stewart/Kato F units. Shells have been redetailed with C&C fans and etched steps; DA lift rings, sand fillers, lift bar brackets, drop steps, Pyle early headlights, and MU stands; DW horns; BLMA grabs, and PSC stanchions. I'll post some pics hopefully soon as right now I don't have all that great of a camera .

I wish that there was a geep kit like the old Highliner F unit. This way you could choose different hood louvre and frame styles to suit. There should be a way to mix and match. I am saying this because of the same problem. I like B&M. Their 50 unit fleet was from 1957. The hood looks phase II, but the side sill looks like a phase III/ GP18.
