The Kaslo resin is soft. I've been working with resin kits for 20 years in making model cars, and this is the softest resin I've ever seen. Alumilite would be a better choice. Also, being more or less retired, I couldn't afford another one of these as I posted on another forum. I have over $200.00 in this one so far. I keep plugging along on this project, as I can afford to.

The Kaslo resin is soft. I've been working with resin kits for 20 years in making model cars, and this is the softest resin I've ever seen. That's odd. Kaslo's resin is usually harder than that. Have you worked with Sylvan's yet? That is much softer than Kaslo's.

No, like I said, I'm used to 1/25 model cars made in resin, and they are usually made with Alumalite, which is like white plastic and very hard.

Looks real good! very nice in deed! I have never liked that paint scheme though... Is that on a Atlas U23B frame? And if so, Was there any mods needs to the frame?

This is the one I was asking about the frame. Randy, what did you use for power under yours and what frame? That work your doing is awesome! i thought I had commented on it before. Guess not... When is it going to get painted? I found it, All I had to do was open my eyes and see there were four pages to that thread. A Atlas U23B... I think I'll pass on this one, I got more than my share of work on the bench!

Very good job on that, you don't see very many that are finished.

I think I'll pass on this one, I got more than my share of work on the bench! I had to mill a ton off the Atlas U23B frame to get the fit required, also had to add Evergreen Plastic C-channel. I've been routing the rest of the traction motor cables, and I have to install all the door handles yet. I don't like the flat etched door handles that come with this kit, and I'll be making mine from brass wire.

It is an Atlas U-23b frame with no modifications needed. A b23-7 chassis could be used also.

If you are going to model the correct I-Beam frame there are a lot of modifications needed. The GE frame doesn't have the I-Beams and the GE frame doesn't even fit up into the walkways. Without the frame mods all that metal is hanging down.
