Well progress is slowly being made on the loco fleet, currently got 2 locos off with the painter getting done up in GDRMCo colours. (Some bad cell phone photos below) The main ore and coal hauling locomotive on the GDRMCo is the stout Bombardier H80AC 'IORE' as built for Swedish mining company LKAB. On the GDRMCo these locomotives will have 2 extra sets of vents each side to help cope with the high temperatures experienced in north west Queensland. They work alongside Bombardier HXD3Bs (Chinese ordered only so far) and the GDRMCo IOREs were upgraded in 2009 to match the higher performance of the 9600kW HXD3B. This diagram shows roughly the extra vents on the sides of these locomotives. Diesels also roam the rails in the form of EMD powered Clyde and successor EDI locomotives. The GT46s handle trains on non electrified lines and the 180t version as shown above will also serve to backup the electrics in the event of overhead wiring failures. Shown is the modern livery they will wear. Also on the roster handling lesser duties will be these bulldogs. There's more to come so I'll be able to keep this thread updated for once 😅.

This reminds me that I know next to nothing about railroads outside of the US (save Canadian and British railways). I look forward to seeing more of your modeling, and YES! Definitely can't not have covered wago ---erm--- bulldogs, that is.

I knew next to nothing about European railroading before I got into researching electric locomotives for my railway. Can be quite interesting seeing how other countries do their thing. Progress on the IORE.
