Waiting for parts to finish my other projects I started with another (slightly) streamlined diesel of the 40's (scale is 1/29): GM&O #1900 - the sole Ingalls 4S GM&O #1900Using an Aristo-Craft FA (pilot, trucks and basic structure for shell) and several other parts of the scrap box here's the current status after a week (ok, once again looking rather crude): Regards Norman

Started painting the shell - I really like this later scheme of bright red. I've was a bit in doubt regarding the roof's color. the H0-Ampolex has a dark black which leads to a very strong contrast to the bright red of the body. However, all photos show more of a greyish black probably caused by fading through sunlight. So I decided on a compromise using the slightly lighted black I've already used for PPU #200's shell. This reduces the - IMHO - exaggerated contrast of the Ampolex model. Regards Norman
