Guys, I took a break from building locomotives long enough to be able to finish this little caboose. The model began as a WrightTrak ACL M-5 kit and I added a few detail parts, painted it with Model Master Insignia Red and weathered it with Floquil colors. All it needs now is a train to couple to and it'll be ready to roll. Enjoy!!

Bob, that's a good looking shortline caboose. Your detailing really adds to the model.

I see that you build gems for both ends of the train. Very nice Bob.

Bob,
You can ship that to me with my two boxcars when they are done! If I still have it there is a gray GP ready for the front end of that train.

Excellent modeling as usual Bob! The build is super clean and the weathering is very nice. Now, stop only posting one pic of your models!! We need more angles!

Thanks!
You've done a real nice job with this. Maybe the motivation to get me started on my transfer caboose.
Thanks again,
Tom

That's definitely a beautiful caboose!!! So glad you modeled it in the original red scheme and not the later French Gray, though even in that scheme it is still a beautiful cab!!!

I think I'm in the majority when I say all cabs should be painted red.

Hi Bob,
It's going to be a transfer caboose for the Nickel Plate set in current time... I can see eyes rolling around now! Waiting for a couple things from eBay. Should be able to get started this weekend.

Should be able to get started this weekend. Tom Tom, WrightTrak makes a very nice transfer caboose in his line of resin models. Here is a PC transfer cab that I built several years ago that would look good as a Nickel Plate transfer cab.

I just picked up one of the N9 kits, my plan is to build it as a Detroit Terminal caboose, which was 1/2 owned by NYC & GTW. I want to build a VO-1000 to go with it. Yours looks great Bob! 😃👍😎 Hi Bob, It's going to be a transfer caboose for the Nickel Plate set in current time... I can see eyes rolling around now! Waiting for a couple things from eBay.
