I'm toying with the idea of scratch building a car but unsure if brass or styrene would be preferred. I would assume brass would be the choice. This is a step in a new direction for my modeling and I'd like to hear from some experience.
Thanks!

I prefer to work with styrene. I find it easy to work, mistakes can be set aside or repared and Evergreen has almost every size you may require. Here's a link to one of my scratchbuilding adventures. www.pbase.com/gnsteve/np_woodchip_carsSteve

Your models look great! Have you experienced any issues regarding the light weight of the cars? Do you add weight?

Thanks for going to the link and looking. I used a 50' Athearn boxcar weight under a false floor. It doesn't show and nobody brings calipers.
