Hello everyone,
One of my favorite aspects of modelling is taking an older car perhaps a tyco or ahm and making it something special or passable. Are there any sites or resources that you guys would recommend to see what is a good car to look for and what is its prototype equivalent. I have a swap meet coming up and want to go in a little better educated to see what is there. Thanks in advance.

Certainly... The AHM flexiflo car The AHM coil car (still working on it) AHM seemed to have an eye for making accurate cars into toys in the late 70s.

Those are some good looking cars. I have also heard that the Tyco flatcar and Mantua gondola are good. Also the x70 by AHM. Can anybody think of any other good ones?

The Revell Gondola is good representation of a G31, but you have to cut down the bolsters that come with it to have it sit at a good height. Oh and I forgot the X72 from Lifelike...probably the closest to an accurate car for a toy. All I can tell that's missing is the door corner reinforcing plate.
