Modification and Enhancements: The P2K GP-18 in Nickel Plate Road looks so much better with a Mars Light, Pyle Light, and a Miniatures by Eric bell added.

Looks nice but, whatever is above the headlight/gyra light looks like a giant glob of glue in the picture. Maybe I'm looking at it wrong?

You must be looking at it wrong, it has been painted silver just like the prototype. By 1965 the N&W painted the stanchions black and did the same with the bell. Mine is as they were delivered in 1962. Here's a pic after the N&W merger.

Looks real good Randy. I totally dig the unit number on the drop step. Was that common on Nickel Plate diesels?

Looks good Randy. The Proto 2000 early Geeps are among some of the best looking plastic models. I've got a Southern GP18 and GP that I'm working on. I just haven't had much time to due to work and school.
