Great looking mow trucks! Who makes the battered hopper in the background in the third pic from the top?

Great looking mow trucks! Who makes the battered hopper in the background in the third pic from the top? Ha, I'd like to know myself. I purchased it for 20$ from an older member from our RR club. It's all die cast, and the bays panels open simultenaously as they are connected to a spring. I saw no brand indication underneath, but I believe it's a Hart type. I may post more pictures soon, or post on Rustbucket and add a link. I really like it, and it's perfect for weathering as you can bend and chip metal easier (which is very typical wear for such hoppers) than plastic ones. In fact, if brass cars were only twice the price of the Intermountains or Athearn RTR and available in most popular kinds, I would only purchase brass cars. Metal allows some details (like opening traps above hopers) that plastic just cannot do as they would always be broken. Half of the "maintenance" time I am spending on cars is for re-gluing plastic air lines, ladders steps, or hoses and such. Even if you are careful, derailing issues are frequently around the corner and even if you're a slow tracker, damages happens. I sometimes see hoppers with impact scars (bumps, dings and chips) that I wish I could weather in my brass ones, but at 150$+ a car it's just out of question. S.

Thanks for the info. I went digging through my collection and came across a similar car decorated for CP. It is going into the stripper and getting painted in CN paint with the new MG Decals set.

Nice! Not many people model MOW, and even fewer model culverts! It's sad that a layout has more to work with than my 1:1 scale... 250 miles of track with 2 ragged out F350 hirails, 1 F550 hirail, 8 ton dump truck with Case backhoe and trailer. The stress induced gut on that foreman in the pic is on point too!

Thanks for the nice comments. I just figured out that I need to align the F350 wheels with the hi-rail ones. Just shortening the axels by 1/8" to 3/16" should do.
