Thanks Randy, I'm back at the fly fishing, so I haven't had a lot of time to work on it, among the zillion other projects on the bench.

Hey Taylor, your patience with slicing and filing is looking awesome!
I don't mean to put a dent in the progress you're making, but I figured I'd mention that I came across a 3d printed HR616 on Shapeways, while looking at Chris' parts for a future rsc-14 project. Apparently the designer (Jess) has come out with a line of draper tapers. I'm sure you've probably seen this? The shells in frosted ultra detail are a little pricey though.

Had a chance to do some more work on this project this past week including a shortened cab nose, rebuilt pilots, resin louvers, panel doors, rad shutters and door latches all added to the engineer's side. The rad shutters were a tip from Luc. They are cut down SD50 rad shutters from Cannon. A narrow piece of styrene is spliced in between horizontally (wide strips) and the shutter is notched to allow a piece of piano wire to fit in (small strips). They are flush fit with the model. If It weren't for Luc I would never have thought of it.

The only trouble I have with 3D printed shells is the costs. I also want to build this to test my abilities.

More progress on the MF32 with a proper fuel tank built. Finished some detailing around the cab too - grabs, doors, windows etc. The conductor's side is 95% complete now. The model is also mounted on a Bowser C630M chassis and drive. It takes the slight warping out of the shell too.

I just have the stripes left to paint on the conductor's side. Hoping to finish it this evening.

Yes Taylor, you nailed it!!! I can't recall, did I send you that Bombardier blueprint drawing I have, or did you do this from photos? Inspiration?
