Ladies and Gentlemen,
Here is the long awaited post of the Rd Slug that I have been working on all winter. I still have to install the drop chains between the units and add the MU cable and brake hose still. They started life as Atlas gold series gp40-2 p1 units. I gave the former 6365 a nose job and slug treatment, to become 2351. The 6351 was repainted and renumbered to 6951 just like the prototype was. I also added scratch built traction motor cables to both units as well as air dryers and piping, new blomberg b trucks and ditch lights. the mu hoses and cables will carry the current from the mother unit to the slug once the ESU loksound decoder arrives and I install it. Thanks Mark R. for the help with figuring out which decoder I needed. I also need to fix that handrail too.
