Wondering who makes a ditch light housing for the low type like these?

Sean~
Nice model of Uncle Pete's finest. Funny that this question would come up, I just ordered some of the aforementioned parts last night for my current CSX GP40-2 & RD Slug project.

Ugh, I'd be guessing, but simply measure the longest width of the ditch light casting, and buy the corresponding sized C channel width from Evergreen styrene. (I'm guessing 0.100"?) www.evergreenscalemodels.com/Shapes.htmThe BIGGEST problem with these ditchlights, is that DA always seems to be out of stock, and you need copious amounts of these castings in order to outfit your modern fleet. Someone needs to put 8 ditchlights in a pack instead of a measly 2!

But yeah someone really needs to make them.... I have a buddy with a 3D printer... I may have him try although idk if he can produce something so small with his printer... Thanks for the info on the C channel. I iwll try that size and a few around it just in case. I will use the left overs for parts or some sort of metal load on a bulkhead flat or flat car!

I agree with you, that the quantity per pack needs to be increased. I'd vote for at least 12 per or maybe even 16 per. Luckily I just bought the last 2 packs from Teresa yesterday.

I've made it a policy whenever I buy detail parts to try to pick up extra common items like ditch lights or mu hoses if available. My parts box is starting to get a nice stock pile in it.
