What are you selling, just the tank or #4111? (just kidding; I know the answer: I wouldn't sell such a little jewel myself at any costs...!!!) Great job; a good display of very professionnal skills. Stephane Thanks. I pulled the tank out of the mold today, I'm happy with the way it turned out but i'm frustrated with the amount of air bubbles that got into the mold and the casting. Its not a big problem with small parts but with something the size of a gas tank its becoming a problems. I'm thinking of building a vacuum chamber for mixing and casting. sorry for the crappy pictures.

Aren't those the same 1700 (?) gallon tanks used on some Rock Island units?

Kaslo has their website up. Not sure what its worth to you in terms of dollars spent on a part vs building your own but John is selling those fuel tanks now.

here is a much better picture of my tank, excuse the paint job I used an empty can of primer:) The tank is fully detailed and has fittings to attach the piping. I used much better resin the only problem is the bubbles and also you can see missing or incomplete parts on the tank that's where the air got trapped in the mold. I'm currently working on a vacuum chamber to resolve the bubble problem. let me know what you guys think and if you would be interested in it once the bubbles are eliminated.

back to work on the GP9, trying to get everything stuffed under the shell I ordered 16ohm speakers for the Atlas decoders and I got 8 ohm speakers delivered. well it ended up being a good thing because now I had to use two speakers for the decoder to work and it sounds amazing. one speaker is in the white box and the other is in the fuel tank.

Artur~
Those tanks came out great. I am really jealous that I don't model CN or CP. They sure have some neat looking prototypes to chose from. Maybe when CP acquires Norfolk Southern, I can finally justify some of their unique locomotives on my layout.

here is a couple of pictures of 4111 with the shell installed. I still have to headlight lenses and install the hand rails. But it runs smooth and sounds great.

WoW looks good! Do the ditch lights come with the kit? They don't, I used miniatures by Eric and installed LED's in them.

Wow, what a sweet little machine. It's so cool to see all the attention to details and the accuracy to the CN prototypes.
These GP9s are classic CN workhorses and a must have for a Canadian railroad fan. They sure will look great with your slug too. I now have no excuses for standing still with my own project, now that I have all the required parts cleared up most of my workbench. You are getting me motivated to get back to work again.
Thanks for sharing!
