Uh oh, I hope its not to late for the batt boxes. I think you mixed them up. I think you got 4111s LT box (to the cab door) on 7266. Also, don't use the etchings for the cab number boards. They're too big. you need to make new ones from styrene like I did. This modeler's kit uses the kit #boards. (Fred Barkhouse?)

(Fred Barkhouse?) crap that's right, good catch this is not the first mistake I made lets see if i can pop them off. you're right about the number boards, it didn't fit right so I had to peel it off the first unit. I'll use number board decals instead.

Indeed, they are really looking good. One question: What parts did you use for the fans and the etched winterization hatch? They really make a difference.

Stephane Thanks, the fans are Cannon and the larger hatch comes with the etched grill in the kit. The smaller one I cut out from a aluminum mesh.

Good eye Artur! You caught the oversized noodle on the nose of 7266! Often missed detail! Is the greying of the decals from lack of solvaset (silvering) or did you by chance hit the model with My surfacer dullcote (hope not). The mr surfacer dullcote attacks my decals for some reason. I also have smartstart logos if you need a couple. lmk

That would be great if you have a couple of smartstart logos I also need a new sheet of the CN logos if you have them available I'll buy two. Let me know I can send a paypal payment.

Just hit the decal a couple times with 70% solvaset and water, it'll settle down no problem. I lay them down on chalky flat paint all the time, I've never pre glossed a model yet. Here's my SW on VERY flat modelmaster flat black...no problems you may need 2 or 3 applications of solvaset because you'll find small bubbles form with each application. Just pop the bubbles with an xacto and apply more solvaset. I also run the xacto down the door lines to make it settle right into the cracks. I'll send you some SS logos, just lmk your address.

Oh I dunno. Leave something for us detailers to have over the masses.

Sean~ Don't worry about us masses learning too much from you guys. You have probably forgotten more than I'll ever learn.

Oh I dunno. Leave something for us detailers to have over the masses. You're right though... We do NOT necessarily need yet ANOTHER overpriced RTR, with more features than we want, or bits we don't like, and have to spend even more to replace!! No.... I recently visited the Atlas "Rescue" Forum. What a bunch of whiny, nitpicky TROLLS!! Apparently, THEY represent the reason why the rest of us can't afford the hobby anymore! I'm glad we still have small industries, willing to help us "little guys"! ~ Carmine

I wanted to see if the Athearn glass will fit and with just minor filing and some Kristal Klear which you can still see around the windows they fit and look great. I also finished the gas tank its currently in the mold, I added all the plugs, a gauge and attachments for pipes so it will have a lot of detail. I will post pictures of the tank once I pop it out of the mold and if it looks good I will offer it for sale.

What are you selling, just the tank or #4111? (just kidding; I know the answer: I wouldn't sell such a little jewel myself at any costs...!!!)
Great job; a good display of very professionnal skills.
