ALCo (MLW anyway!) heaven here!!! I'm trying to acquire a RS-11 or two...... NO WONDER I can't find any - YOU bought them all !! Those all look great. Some clever tricks for putting that all together too!! I've bookmarked your build, so I can reference it, if I do happen to find any dirt cheap RS-11s! ~ Carmine

I think I have 16 the last time I counted but only five are nearly done. The remainder are in some stage of progression as I'm waiting for resin parts from my caster.
If I can find them for less than $60 shipped I usually buy them.

Gee Taylor, how did you let me get one for $30 a few months ago? I haven't been looking since the Canadian dollar dropped below $0.80 at all. I figure I'm better off to buy the parts I need to finish the locomotives I have. Prior to the mid 1970's all that was used on freight and passenger trains, and as yard power, on the line I model was RS-18's. Five to six on a freight wouldn't be uncommon. Of course I model it a little later after the bigger power arrived to add some variety.

Surprised nobody noticed all the PEIR roadpower in behind the MR18's. Especially Steve.

Was a hotbed for Alcos back then, with RS18s, C424s and six axle Alcos dominating the train consists. So if you find yourself needing additional funds due to the terrible Canadian dollar, let me know

Modeling wise, no. In my protofreelance plan I am reviving Somerset Junction, well to the west. Since I am focusing on the Somerset Railroad, the CP section is more for interchange purposes, although I'm planning a yard akin to Brownville for my layout, so I can host a full complement of CP traffic. A few of my friends have interest in modeling that area, so someday we may see Keag in HO scale! 'Keag is a neat place though. I've ended up going through on a few occasions railfanning, as I lived less than a few hours away. Back in my railfanning days, I did tend to stick more the MMA versus the NBSR as the NBSR schedule usually just didn't pan out in my favor. Alas now I live several hours further away, and I rarely venture that far north these days.
