You know there is something about the CF7 that I just like. Though I prefer the square cab this thing is really nice. Nice job all the way around. Is this the Athearn version or is it actually an old RRP shell?

This unit is the Athearn version, it's actually a factory painted unit as well. I recabbed this one from a donor unit that I purchased from a member here. I then "plated" over the extra aft windows with squadron white putty, after I primed the cab I scrapped off the primer around the "weld" seams before I painted it Model-Flex ATSF red, and decaled it with Highball Graphics decals. The reason I opted for a recab is because this unit already has a TSU-GN1000 567 decoder in it. I also prefer the "Topeka" cab myself, but now that I have this one it is starting to grow on me.

Richard~
Have you posted your progress here? If you haven't please share it with us. What unit(s) are you working on? I would like to see someone else's take on modeling these units.

Regards, PVRR2647 Hey PVRR, Sorry I just saw you replied to me. No I haven't posted my progress here. I using a RPP shell as the basis. All the detail parts cost me more than the shell and frame did. I am working on making it into the 2647. I have a round cab body to do next. But who knows when that is going to happen.

Richard~
If you get the chance please share your build with us. I would like to see somebody else's approach to modeling these units, specifically my screen name unit.
