Afternoon gents, I am in need of some help with a project on the bench. I recently bought a new stock Bachmann F7A to build into Conrail F7A 1648, the only blue painted F7A. I got the Details West detailing kit, and plan to use parts of it to complete the locomotive. However, I need grab irons, and that's where I am stuck. Details West shows a nose grab iron set, but never mentions a number to get the entire kit, I even checked their online catalog. I know I can use the Walthers 933-822 detail kit for most of them, but the nose grab irons for the engineer's side nose aren't included. Can anyone help?

Are those the ones with the curved dips at either end ? If so, then Detail Associates SY-2215 would be what you are after .... Mark.

The ladder rungs were made that way so the maintenance crew could set a ladder against them to service the locomotive.
