Thanks Glenn didn't know the life of that unit plus even seeing an SD40-2 around here is extremely rare

3014 is also a 71 built GP40 which have their own unique one year only features also. Great catch on that unit!

The BNSF SD40-2s seem to be most often used in yard service. They are an excellent fit for classification or trim jobs, especially those on a grade. This unit may be in transit to an outlying point after an inspection or maintenance or on the way to be checked out.

actually that sd40-2 has been hovering around here off and on, on stack trains guess it refuses to leave mainline duty
