Hello, I thought I would share a pic of the first build of the HO Scale S-13 shell kit. The only thing I have changed is the stanchions are now the correct "L" shape. Currently I am building two more to verify the construction. this one is mounted on a Bachman S-4 drive. Hopefully the new loksound sound decoder will be out soon. Thanks RSJ

Looks good. I've got two on preorder but I don't mind waiting if its less I'll have to fix. Looks pretty good on the Bachmann drive and its a cheap alternative to boot.

Bachmann eh?!?! Ray can you elaborate how you made the chassis? I have a Kaslo one, shell all painted up but the POS chassis has me discouraged.

Bachmann eh?!?! Ray can you elaborate how you made the chassis? I have a Kaslo one, shell all painted up but the POS chassis has me discouraged. There are tow ways to go with this. the bachmann drive with everything milled off along the side of the motor. Either end of the frame must be cu back to the bolsters.... SO you will have to build the subfame I channels, the set the drive at the right height. then put weight wherever you can. Our kits has a subframe casting for this. OR you can use a late model Athearn SW1000/1500 and fit it easier, as it already has the frame channels and is the correct height off the trucks, and a little easier to do, and the late model drive has a nice motor. Send me an email "office@prototypemodelindustries.com" and i can send you pics of the bachman frame job... Thanks RSJ

I have 3 of the Associated Model Makers s13/rs23 shells sitting her waiting..... for almost 15yrs now, but was never happy with them ( and never had the time), so no problem waiting a bit longer for what I just saw in your photos! Already have my order in for the RS23s as well.
