I'm detailing an Athearn SW1500 for the Missouri Pacific. I need a set of AAR typeA side frames. Does anyone know where I can find these?

If it is Blue Box, Smokey Valley has them with the roller bearing. Athearn had it for the old style switchers, but with plain bearings. I don't know if they ever had one with rollers for the SW1000.

Always see alot "SP SW1500s" up for bid on eBay but they don't have handrails or roller bearing trucks and have the "wrong" SP SW1500 number. Was this an early Athearn version or did the SP ones have two or more versions?

Athearn SW1500 and SW1000 call for the same bearing side frame, so watch e-bay, P#41021, they show up from time to time. Have a few of them, if all esle fails PM me with an offer price.

Thanks everyone for the input. I was able to secure a set of side frames from a gentleman who was shopping at my local hobby shop. He used to be into model railroading but got out when his eyesight started to go. He had boxes of parts and what he called "STUFF". It was a gold mine, lots of detail parts and a set of the side rails I needed. Thanks again for all the help .

Great find! this guy have any Athearn switcher frames? There are two types one is marked 1815 on the underside at the tank, it is square. The other is marked 39016 and it is round at the tank. Looking to purchase two of the rounded frames, preferebly with trucks. RJ
