Here is what I've done today. I built the roof at 6" above the hood, the same height as the round roof cab. I figured that's how the ATSF would have done it. After studying pictures I've picked up off the internet, I decided that I probably put the windshield insert in at about .020" too high. It raised the nose about the same amount. I narrowed down the RPP Geep number board casting to match the outsides of the center windows. I also sanded the number board frames off so I can center up my number boards later. That about winds this up, I'll move this thread to the EMD Rebuilt board when I get going on the rest of this build. This model started out as an SP GP-9 passenger locomotive, it will wind up an ATSF GP-9u #2256.

MMA / BAR 21 and 23 are sitting in Morristown, I'll try to get some measurements this coming week.
