Current HO scale project is putting a Hallmark E1 booster ("B" unit) onto a Walthers PROTO E9 chassis. Have had to roll skirts out of sheet brass; now looking at the details on the skirts.
There are two different tanks under the belly - one for water, one for distillate fuel (these originally had Winton prime movers). The fuel fill details are a struggle - looks like the skirt is cut out in a circle, with a trim bezel riveted around the hole, with the fuel/water fill pipe inside.
It is the riveted bezel - no such pre-made detail appears to be forthcoming from the usual hobby vendors, so I'm fishing for advice on how to do this.
Thanks in advance for any help. Dave Megeath
