I believe there was a thread on the forum regarding these beauties, but I can't find it. So if you don't mind me asking quick, are these limited to pre-order or is there select private vendors that one could potentially find one or two at a later date? I also want to add, it's looking mighty sharp so far sir!

This reminds me I still have to finish that RS-18 master. With what he had on his plate, its not a massize rush though. Sean, are those slides from London

Slides?!?!? You mean the pictures in the background? Not sure, that's a pic of Efram's desk, not mine own... Efram's doing all the hard work on this project, I only did the digital stuff, AutoCAD drawings etc. Another sneak peek...

Emailing is great if you know what you are looking for and don't need pictures, part #s or prices

The 2100s are the HR616, the old 2400s are C40-8Ms but the rumour is that Kaslo is doing one of the HR616 as well.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll check the forum for updates. One other quick question, is there a particular frame or two these shell kits will mesh to or is it up to the modeler?

A proper length frame may be a little difficult to come by from existing models. The bolster to bolster lengths for C630M, HR616, and C40-8M are:
C630M 46' 5" HR616 46' 9.5" C40-8M 48' 9"
The center axles are 20.5" inboard of the bolsters on all MLW Hi-Ad 3-axle trucks, so we can compare bolster to bolster distance.
So a Bowser C630M frame won't work for the GE and will be a little short for the HR616.
I have heard that the Kaslo kit will come with a frame designed for Bowser trucks. Can anybody confirm?

OK folks, significant headway! We got a new caster, he has all the parts and ran this test cast, which is excellent quality! (kinda shows more hiccups in our master.... ) The blue resin is a test, the production version will be manila or grey. (sorry for the image rotation...damn blackberry!) These WILL be available for Christmas, so save a few dollars from your wife/kids' xmas funds to buy a few.

what would be the expected retail and what frame would be needed?

Nice to see these done in affordable HO. Are the QNSL and BCOL versions the same shell or will there be variations?

Nice to see these done in affordable HO. Are the QNSL and BCOL versions the same shell or will there be variations? Everything is included in the kit resin parts-wise, but the BCOL kits with have an extra etching which has the giant rad cover grille and small blank out rad side panels. what would be the expected retail and what frame would be needed? It will probably be around $129 CDN, not 100% sure yet until all the etchings come in. Efram is investigating the frame options. One could always stretch a C630M frame the extra 24" if need be. There is no planned chassis release in the works from Kaslo.

Sean, Do you know if John will be packaging the BCOL units as a different version kit (like the M420s), or will the parts for all versions come in each kit?
