It’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything worthwhile so I figured I’d share this video I shot a few days ago. It’s nothing special – just a run by of a grain train on my layout.
I was fooling around and seeing how long of a train I could run and I topped out with this one! The trains I run during op sessions only top out at around 25-30 cars and that's plenty long enough.

Hey Sammy, That had to be most all of your grain hoppers! They looked good. It looked like you had some interesting motors up front also. Looks like you'll be busy putting all of those cars into the proper trains for awhile!
Cheers, Mike

Boy you sure do have a lot of hoppers, and so many weathered nicely. That train isn't far off from the grain trains BNSF runs today, though there isn't quite as much HP up front.

Thanks again guys! Mikie, I actually had around 120 cars on this train at one point – but I couldn’t get it started without string lining somewhere in the first half of the train! I gradually took cars off the end until That problem went away and wound up with the number seen in the video. Once I got it on a roll headed down grade, the only problem was stopping. On Sunday afternoon, Samuel and took about an hour and spilt the train into thirds and spotted all of the elevators that needed cars and took the rest of the hoppers and built a normal sized X-AMAM train and put the rest of them into Junior yard so everything is back to normal now.

The train in the video is just size train I'd want for my future layout. Now only if I can buy a barn...
