So a few of you may already know that I'm a railink fan. I just love the paint scheme.
My question is, did any manufacturers make any units painted in railink colours? I currently own the only 2 that I know of. (Proto 2k gp38-2 #2002 and Walters gp9 #4003). I know rapido has announced an f unit if they get enough orders (#1400 and 1401).
Thanks all!

Intermountain did FP9's in RLK colours IIRC, but they're not the closest to them...detailing is kind of generic, and one of them (1400) is supposed to have the 48" fans only Rapido makes. I'd probably wait and see what Rapido does with their future release.
I'm not aware of any others offhand...although someone did a custom run of Athearn GP38-2's decorated for RLK 2002 at some point years ago. I know someone with one, but haven't seen it so cannot comment on its accuracy.

Thanks Mrdan! I think I will wait for rapido when they release theirs. (Currently waiting for my gmd-1 as well!) In the meantime, I guess I can try my hands at building one. Unless you fine gents decide to sell, ofcourse!

I'm glad pointed that out. I have one of the Intermountain ones, I thought it was pretty close.

Thanks guys. I may get an intermountain if I can find one and the price is right. Definitely will be considering the rapido though.

The Rapido Railink F unit project has been cancelled due to lack of pre orders. Too bad since I had 2 of them on order!

Need more RLK units? I'm actually thinking of selling my custom ones. Have a potential party interested in 1808, but 1756 is still up for grabs...a lot of work went into them, so unfortunately I'm thinking around $280-300 per unit. Custom chop job & body mods, custom paint, custom decals, custom detailing, custom frame/chassis mods, DCC-ready with 8 pin plugs, custom lighting with LED's and SMD LED's...only minor issue is the blue decal colour wasn't an exact match for the paint, but close. As the creator of this thread, can I call dibs? lol... PM me MrDan!

Wow! those units look really good. Are those P2ks? Ed Thanks all, The 1756 is an Atlas GP7, and 1808 is a P2K GP18 shell on a later GP9 chassis. I wouldn't recommend the Atlas GP7 if one plans on modifying the metal frame/walkways though, it's a real PITA. For another rebuilt Geep project in the works I actually cut up a spare Atlas GP7 shell and adapted it to fit a P2K plastic frame and chassis, rather than finding and using an Atlas frame on it...

I'm not sure if this is common knowledge but Railink also has or had a SW7 slug, I can't seem to find any pictures of it. I was right next to it a couple of years ago at the Hamilton yard.
