Hi Guys.
First I apologize if any of you have seen this already on the TCS Yahoo group.
I have some questions about CV's on the FL4.
I am programming one with JMRI and don't see CV's 15 or 117.
Reading the comprehensive decoder programming manual on TCS site and they claim that there should be a CV117 to adjust the ditch light Alternation Rate. I don't see this on the page of CV's on JMRI.
Also I plan on using this decoder to control ditch lights only in conjunction with a QSI sound decoder. Again in the decoder manual and on the JMRI screen it say you can lock out the decoder to prevent it getting overwritten by the second decoder. It says to set CV16 to 3 to lock the decoder and set CV15 to 3 or 0 to unlock it to program it.
On the CV page #16 is there but there is no #15 to set to unlock it.
Is this a over site on JMRI's part or have these CV's been deleted by TCS? If CV15 has been eliminated how do you unlock CV16?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Erik

Erik,
The reason CV 15 is not in the definition is because it is a write only CV. The TCS tab is where you can set the lock code. On the Roster page, go to Actions > Single CV Programmer. A new window pops up and you will be able to program CV 15. CV 117 is probably not listed in JMRI because it is not listed in the instructions for the decoder. You can set it using the Single CV Programmer with values determined from the comprehensive manual. You can also ask for a correction to be made on the JMRI list.
BTW, JMRI updates about every month.
