Hi,
This is a Proto GP60 with some details added and Loksound V3.5. It turned fantastic and is one of my favorite models.
Cheers, Joe

Would you mind indicating which details you added?
How do you find the accuracy of the model as compared to the prototype?
Which generation of proto gp60 is this? first? Second?
In some other shots of the models I have seen on the internet the model looked "off" as compared to many photos of the real thing I have on file. I just couldn't put my finger on the exact problem other than the fuel tank sitting too close to the rails.
Your model doesn't seem to exhibit any of these problems though.

Model was bought some years ago so I donĀ“t know if Proto 2000 line offered GP60 phase I after or before or did different production runs. ATSF had two orders, first order came with blocked off front class lights and rounded dynamic brake housing, so this represents second order with no front class. lights and square dynamic brake housing. Accuracy is excellent when compared to scale drawings. Light bulbs were replaced with leds.
Details include:
- DW Snow Plow (with added grab irons) - DA MU hoses - DW Air hoses - DW MU cables - DW small Sinclair antenna with reworked ground plain - PIA Sinclair antenna with scratchbuild ground plain - Both antennas piping - DA brass wire with DA eye bolts - DA Rotary beacon - DA eyebolts - DW spare knuckle holders - Railflyer brake vent regulator valves - DW Nathan K3 - DA Coupler lift bar with brackets - DW air filters (both sides) - DA cab sunshades - Utah Pacific wind deflectors - A-Line windshield wipers - DA air conditioner - DW reworked speed recorder to match prototype - Trucks air piping - DA brass wire - DA underframe bell - DW step lights - C&C air tank reservoirs with air tank DW details - C&C, DW and DA fuel tank piping and details - Rear plow grab irons - built with DA brass wire - Some Microscale decals to enhace model
Cheers, Joe

Thanks for the quick reply.
Those details really made the GP60 shine for sure!
I'm glad to hear that the model is accurate. I had read a few opinions about the accuracy and the detail offered between the first and second generation production runs. It left me confused to say the least.
I intend to use at least one GP60 in my proto freelance line, but I wasn't sure about the quality.

looks great! my only addition would be to possibly add some paint to those handrails. They scream "plastic" and take away from the overall realism of the rest of the loco. Just my .02

Yes you are right, I am considering some SV and perhaps the grab irons in the near future

Kiro...your models just do not disappoint...awesome! The mods and paint are so clean. The only thing I can add to make this any better would be to replace those Kadees with Sergents and paint the wheels. You'd have a slammin paint booth fresh unit...of course I'd love to see it weathered from years of hard work.
