This is the first time I have tried to paint a loco. I used a rattle can than finished with two coats of clear matte. I have all of the hand rails except the long ones that go on the side of the loco towards the top. I am also missing the bell and the light lens at the front of the loco. Is there anything else I should do that would make it stand out.
I will get some decal paper and attempt to make my own road name. I will also look at hobby lobby for number decals.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. </a>'></p>

Can't really give you much feedback. The photos are a bit distant and fuzzy. What I can see though is the detail still shows through, so does not look bad.
You will want to shoot a gloss coat on it for decals. Then shoot gloss over the decals and then a flat or semi-gloss over the whole thing.

From what you can see in the pictures it looks like it covered nice and even. Like Brian said spray gloss before decals, makes it easier to work the decals and the clear film doesnt show when you finally dull coat the loco.

Thanks fellows. I appreciate the info. I bought a can of clear gloss last night. I plan on spraying gloss only where the decals go. I will practice on an old junk tyco gp I sprayed just to practice on before I mess up this one. Now,I have to figure out how to make the decals now.
