It's been awhile since I've did and project and posted it up,but I recently bought an Kato UP AC4400 off ebay and it will be getting all of the KCS AC44 specs including the steerable trucks and etc. One feature that It will be also getting is tinted windows which doesn't seem to be modeled much on modern units aside from Athearn. Once I get the unit it will be bathed in alcohol and that's when the fun will begin.

Check out my UP units, they have tint. I use automotive tint film, it works great. The BLI unit came with tinted windows. I look forward to the finished unit.
Regards, Bobby

Nice job on the GE. How hard was it to add those truck sideframes to the KATO model.

It was pretty straight forward bro, I had cut the mounting lugs off the Kato trucks and glued em to the back of steerable truck side frames
