Units were torn down to the most basic parts. Here are one set of wheels after weathering and for the second unit

I am waiting on parts for this build and have a serious illness in the family that I am dealing with. For now all work has stopped on these units.
I am glad you like the wheels Mike. If you watch the build for the C430's that i am building now, you will get to see many more wheels! its a four unit order with a 5th on the way...so lots of weathering for wheels and all those side frames. The family health issues has slowed that build, but it is still moving forwards.

The SD50's were sold off. I am moving in a slightly different direction. SD40-3's in various SD45 type car bodies for six axle power and four axle B23/30-7's and B40-8W's

Funny the old T-motor gets mother status and the newer Dash 8 gets turned into a slug.

Funny the old T-motor gets mother status and the newer Dash 8 gets turned into a slug. Probably because parts support for the 645 series is much better than the GE. Tends to be the way of the industry.
