Majority of them were sold off. There are a pair of C424s still on the property, although retired.
The RS18us are still active, the 3 remaining C630s are stored in doors and are in running order.
The RS3 and the FA/FB set are stripped down and stored.
It was a hard choice to silence most of them, but with the addition of OVR and HCR into the fold, new power was needed and used Alcos were hard to come by.

Awww, the Alcos are gone?
Now I feel bad... like I did when Lake State sold or scrapped theirs.
Lol, still looks good and interesting.
Looking forward to your paint scheme.

I take comfort in that the Alcos that have been sold are still earning there keep with there new owners.
The remaining Alcos will be sold or kept. None of them will be sold for scrap by EOQ.
There has been some talk of upgrading the C630s with microprocessors and rebuilding them again instead of purchasing more SDs, which is why they are being kept in doors.

Great work Alex. Sounds like you've put some serious thought into this.

I have tried. The EOQ is the result of many year of thinking in my head. I went to college in North Bay shortly after Railink took over, and before RA wrecked the OVR. I fell in love with the Ottawa Valley, and the lines that ran through it.
EOQ is working its way to "what if" the lines were never abandoned, and the the same operator ran from Sault Ste. Marie to Montreal.
I have no life when I'm on the road, nothing but time to think, and well, this is the result.
Thanks,
Alex

And from the thinking comes great ideas. Too bad we couldn't actually see it happen lol. Have you painted any units in your EOQ scheme yet?

Are you still working on the EOQ or just the Rail Link?
