Thanks for the compliments guys! I was able to get it painted BN cascade green and black over the weekend last week. I had an issue with the white I sprayed on the cab so I had to strip off the paint and respray it. I began decaling the rest today and hopefully can get it dullcoated and weathered during the week this week. I put together another MOW truck this week as well while I was waiting. Just need to slap some CN decals on the door and it should be finished.

The photo with the cab being lifted would make for an interesting diorama.

Thanks for the compliments guys! Did you forget the cab number boards ? I did initially but Ive still got some hand painting to do on it so I'll add them next. Kind of did it out of order since the loco had been painted a few years ago now but the cab needed redone.

Sometimes you have to look past the grubby outside and see the gem that hides underneath. Many would not even touch that model because they perceive it as damaged. But when you can roll your own, there are some nice blank canvases to be picked up for a reasonable price.

What did you use to get ride of the glue on the top of the cab?

They are a good value for the person who is planning on cutting them or rebuilding them. I like being able to see the transformation from rough to something presentable. Dec 20, 2015 17:23:39 GMT -5 fourteen14 said: What did you use to get ride of the glue on the top of the cab? I actually just sanded the glue off and used some Tamiya putty to patch where the glue melted into the cab. Seemed to do the trick. If it was a model I was planning to keep for myself then I would have just went the Cannon route.

I managed to do the number boards, install the glass, and install the front lighting.
