Is that a greek? Here is the final paint design for the freight locomotives I decided to keep the blue along with the logo and added the blue chevrons and side sill reflective stripes.

That looks good. The addition of chevron and sill stripe has done the trick. I think your logo is good, simple just like real shortlines and regional. Perhaps try a white seperation stripe between the blue and black on the side off the hood.....

If I may suggest,how about a slightly lighter shade of blue and moving the road name to beside the stripe instead of overlaying it on the stripe.

I've updated the design more to my liking. Based on advise from here I moved the name to beside the stripe and also changed the font to something more modern. I also made the Rail Link portion smaller to emphasize the upper portion. Here's the final result. I tried the white striped before and after the blue stripes but it looked too busy.
