Found a bunch of my old photos taken in Clinton, IA with a disposable camera around September 2004. This old beater was used by ADM to spot covered hoppers full of corn for unloading. It was converted for remote control, and sometimes partnered up with another early jeep that had it's whole short hood removed and what looked like the cab from an EMD switcher grafted on. Sorry about the terrible quality, these are just scans of the walgreens prints

That truly is a beaten up old unit. Thanks for sharing the pictures

I worked for ADM from 95 - 98 and changed a few traction motors on that engine in Clinton. I also remember when my boss called and told what happened to the open platform loco which was chopped by ADM in Cedar Rapids. When they removed the nose and I mean all of it leaving the sub base they discovered it had a huge hole in the cab so it was walled off with plexi glass.

I remember that unit! Always wondered what the story was with it. The leading consensus was it was a rebuilt wreck. Thanks for the comments guys! If i find the rest of my photos from back then, there should be one of the frankenjeep that i'll post up
