awesome work was confused why I would find an NRE loco in an EMD section, but guess there is no other place for it. do you have plans to change the sand filler? and front lights ? not as yet

Where should I move the post? Brand X or Rebuilt Diesels? My guess would be Brand X seeing these Genset are not rebuilt, but new built, unlike other gensets that require donor units.

I decided to do this to my UPY gensets. I have 3 of them, I started to prepare the first one. Waiting on the order for the Stanchions, and brass wire. I will start a thread for my locos.

Kai, great job, I hope I get the chance to see the unit in action some day . Now add some decent weathering and get the glossy shine gone and and you boost it from 99% to 100% ;-)

Nice Job indeed. I'm starting to like the gen sets. Too bad they're nearly sold out already, why can't model mfg's keep loco's in production a bit longer. Every time I spot something I like, I find it's already sold out, particularly the UP models seem to go fast, must be popular :-) Anyway, when did the gensets first appear on the rails? I'm modeling the early '90's and would like to be able to mix one of these along other 4 axle diesels.
