Did you make the interstate decals yourself? Also what paint did you use for the tan/beige color?

Hey, I like how the panning of the locos running on your layout turned out!
Great work Josh!

I was thinking about a similar project. Did you remove the grab irons before soaking it in alcohol or after? Did you reuse any details? Which details you left on the body? Earl is out...

What a great build! I really like these heritage units and you did an excellent job replicating them. I used to live in NC and went to the Spencer Shops several times...awesome place. As you obviously know (from the pic), the train shop across the street is incredible...I miss it. There is only one hobby shop in Nashville, TN (where I moved to) and it is literally 10'x15', only open two days a week and only for short hours on those days.

S&S Hobbies set 308 is a great choice if you ever decide to open up the dynamic brake inlets. You can do several engines with one set. You did a outstanding job on your engines, they all look great!

Great Work! My favorite is the NW unit. I was wondering if someone could provide a link to the S&S hobbies so that we could find that part. thanks

The part is available from walthers. It's originally for the Walthers FP45, I think. Anyway the part no.is correct. You cut the stainless with stainless scissors. The openings in the grill work are dead on.

Josh, I just revisited this page today and I'm still in awe of the work - even with the units available commercially. You took time to get the engineer's side doors correct, as well as the other details. Great job - I hope college is going well for you!
